Hammer and spring question on pcp, lube or not
On reassembly of hammer and spring, do you lube or not? If so what type of lube should be used. Please explain in detail.
Kind regards, Frank

with a lot of testing this is what I notice:
you must use a spring guide, if you don’t you will have wear on the breech chamber where the spring will flex to the side and ride on the wall, then your spring will be dent— no longer straight when you roll it on a flat surface. when this happen the spring is over stress and no longer consistent.
If you lube with moly–>you will looses some speed—-really noticeable in vary cold temp.
when I set my tune at high power to get max speed and consistence–I using dry graphite.
So to answer your Question: not lube on spring and hammer and use a HSTA with a spring guide. to get max spring speed use dry graphite.
