Hammer help

OK I’m stuck yet again I’ve looked through the forum for some help before I messaged I removed the old hammer and weight and I went to install the new one and that’s the hang up. How do I get the hammer past the part of the trigger mechanism that sticks up inside of the frame?

OK, I think what I will do is list in order what I have done and maybe someone will be able to tell me where I went wrong, as you guys don’t live near me for me to see where I went wrong

1. I put some tape on the spinloc collar that wrapped around to the side took a marker and drew a straight line so after I was done my collar would be back in the correct position for the tank adapter.

2. I then removed the cover off the breech knob and removed the breech knob.

3. I slid the breech out through the hole from where the collar once was and the hammer came out the same way.

4. Because the striker weight was stuck still pressed against the spring I slid my finger up to the weight and pulled the trigger which caused that to be released.

5. Slid in the new weight from Tony it would not go in so I started to read though the forum to find any information to help when I decided to push the safety forward in the gun which then allowed me to slide in the new hammer but only so far it is not going all of the way in

This is as far as I can move the breech forward, the trigger has not been cocked, so I can pull the trigger all of the way back

Don’t try to put the spring and bbl. in it while cocked. πŸ˜‰

πŸ˜† You pushed it TOO far! It’s supposed to be on the breach side of the sear when at rest! Take something, (Dowel rod) and press it from the muzzle end, and pull the trigger at the same time. Right now, you have it cocked. 😯

Knife

OK I held the safety in and was able to slip in the hammer but now it won’t cock the gun basically it seems to get hung up around the last “ring” of the hammer O just hope I didn’t screw up something also I went in from the breech side as that is the easiest way to get the job done or so I read I just need to get past this last hurdle and I’m all set also I would like to tank everybody for the help so far its made things easier πŸ˜€

It should push right pass if your putting it in from the collar side and you have to pull the trigger if its coming from the PW side

Pull the trigger while pulling the hammer out.
