Q:

Hammer Slap Mod???

I was wondering if there was a cheaper way to do the “Hammer Slap Mod” from the TT website?

I just can’t afford paying $40 for it right now. Is there any way of doing this mod without disassembling the gun?

thanks

Just give it up. Live with the slap and maintain some kind of consistancy… 😉

so how do I order one? I sent Tony a PM yesterday. Is it better to call/e-mail him?

thanks

so it looks like it’s just the large o-ring that stops the “Snap”?, if so that can easily be done with a rubber/soft plastic spacing that sticks on one side and prevents full contact.

I’ll try it before going to the machined mod.(mostly because I don’t want to take the gun appart) I can add the rubber spacing in the open space of the “breech” without dismantling the gun.

thanks

What you will find in doing it that way is the sound of hammer will be less but so will your velocity. And it will get beat to hell and come loose.

Give it a go, but we have been down this road before.

You fill have to dismantle your gun if you try and do it your self. $40 is not a bad price really. Your probably just best to save up.

Wear ear plugs 😀

Otherwise you need a lathe to do it.
