That really depends on the nature of the mod.

To lessen slap, you need to soften the impact and/or absorb the sound of the impact. Soften the impact and you lose power.

You can soften impact with different materials such as rubber, leather ect.. and each will lessen the transfer of energy thru the breech slightly.

An idea I have, but haven’t yet tried, is to drill some small holes in the face of the breech. Not deep, maybe .125″ or so, maybe .1″ in diameter. Drill these on the surface that meets the hammer.

These holes will probably absorb some of the sound, and wouldn’t necessarily soften the material enough to absorb impact.

I have 2 reasons I havent tried this yet. I am lazy, and I dont necessarily care about the impact noise. 😉
