HandPumps Benjamin-vs-AF
Benjamin and AirForce pumps are essentially IDENTICAL.
May not be news to you hard core boys but I am new and want share this with the other newbies as I have not seen it. (did not really look :-))
They are EXACTLY the same internally. AF is bit cheaper but if you dont hold or prop that bottle while resting for cooling, it could tip over like mine did THE FIRST TIME I USED IT and break the adaptor piece clean IN HALF!!!!! I was so upset. I had just got it from PA that day- THAT HOUR! I had been waiting for days cause my Benjamin had been busted and I had no mean of shooting. Basically going crazy. It was like a comedy. I finished my first set and it seemed to be balancing on it’s own fairly well so I turned my back and stepped away to let it cool. BAM!!… you know that feeling you get when this kind of thing happens? …EVEN if it did fall, it should not have just broken! Man, that air came rushing out in an instant and I wont lie, I cried for a while. About two hours… Long story short, I pulled myself together and simply took the hose from the Benny and swapped it out and with a little trail and error, got it sealed… worked great.
Until something locked up in the valve after a few fills and I could not push the pump in. Locked! And the opposite was what the benjamin had! I could not pull the handle up!… &#%$#^#%!!! So now I am stuck with two pumps, one long, one short. neither functioning. More tears.
Finally, as they are the same, internally, I disassembled both and swapped and switched and re-assembled and did it again and again and I dont know what I did but I finally got one to work!! It ended up being a Benny base and an AF tube… that was a month or so ago.
Been using it ever since.
I tried to post a much less winded notice in the PA reviews as they kept bugging me, but it never showed up. I Guess bad opinions are okay but bad truths are out. So I thought you hand-pumpers might want to know. They tell you an AF with a benny pump and vise versa cant be done…

PA sold my friend an AXSOR pump. What is, or who makes an AXSOR pump? Does it have the drypack feature? This pump arrived and can be sent back under their 30 day policy.
Thanks guys
