Handy Air tank strap "Harness"
Thought I would post this been looking around for some kind of strap for my air tank I have a scuba tank and just got a Carbon Fiber tank a few weeks back and was in my local hardware store they also sell allot of Farm things for animals started looking at harnesses for animals and ended up buying a harness for a “calf” they are marked for different size animals so got it home and it fit like a glove from some measurments I had in my head amazing I remembered them! 😆 Anyway both my tanks measure 7/14″ in diameter, Once I got it secured with buckle strap I tried everthing I could think of to get it to slip off and it did not budge! only thing I might do is add a small stap to the D Ring the tank is light but right now with the D Ring it is a one finger hold not bad for a short run but a strap handle or something might work better! Anyway thought I would pass this along to anyone looking for a good way to carry there Air Tank here are a couple pictures

Packrat got mine off Ebay not a real Ebay fan but had called the guy I bought it from and ask allot of questions came from Arizona Fire dept I knew it needed a new hydro and he said he could get that done also if I wanted it done so I did so I didn’t have to mess around with that I can also get one done at a local Fire dept but his price for getting it done was good so it got done. Paid 150 for it, One thing you have to make sure when you get these carbon fiber tanks is a place to fill you see all the time on Joe’s web sight that sells tanks telling people to make sure they can do a fill on an 88 cu in tank I had a paint ball guy tell me he could fill mine well with the fittings I had he could without a poblem but only got it filled to 4300 which isn’t bad but I know for sure at the fire dept they set it at 4600 and it pretty much stays there guages on most of the tanks are close but not real accurate but the tanks are nice compact and light now instead of taking my hand pump with me I just take the tank about the same weight 😆 And yes Joe Brancoto is a great guy that is where I got all my fittings from!

That’s the website…I bought a 66 cu ft FIBERGLASS (not carbon fiber) tank, 4500 psi with a new hydro (good for 5 years) with 3 foot stainless steel hose and gauge set-up, shipped from California to Georgia for $350.00 !!!!! Only difference between FG and CF is that the CF is a little lighter in weight..The tank I bought will have to be condemned at the end of 5 years……they’re only have a 15 year service life…..so if I’m still airgunning FIVE years from now, I’d have to buy another tank…..not worried about that..a LOT can happen in 5 years, and I’m 62 now, so what the hell.PRICE is killer GOOD…check out his site, he’s a hell of a nice guy too!!

I hear ya!! I have to drive 30 miles just to get my scuba tank filled…BUT..Tomorrow, fed-ex will be delivering my 66 cu ft, 4500 psi SCBA tank, gauge and hose assy. So not near as many trips with it 😀 😀 😀
yea no shops around me and they do make several for sale online just something I found that worked for not much money
Well, that is certainly a nice way to do it..However, at dive shops you can buy a strap made specifically for carrying tanks, scuba, scba, whatever…that’s where I bought mine…$14.95.. 😀

Nice strap! I made one from an old tree sand harness. Works good enough for me!
