Q:

Hard cocking

I have a Gunpower Stealth in .20 and have switched the barrel to an 18″. I also put in a high flo valve. On advice, I added a hammer weight made to the exact dimensions of the Condor weight. Now the rifle is hard to cock and I see scoring on the rubbers on the end of the hammer. Any advice as to the causes and how to remedy?

If you have scoring on the ends of the hammer, you may have burrs in the frame where the cocking knob slides in the frame. It’s pretty common! I would inspect that area and address it if there are burrs there.
When you replaced the barrel, what was the condition of the breech end of the new one. It’s a good idea to polish that end when the barrel is out of the gun.
You may also want to inspect the “o” rings in the breech.
Did you clean and lube everything when you re-assembled the gun?
Keep us posted on what you find!
