Q:

Hard Gun Case

I have been looking for a hard case for my Condor. With the shroud it measures about 47″ long. I have a Nikko 8-32 Nighteater with sidewheel that is about 3.9″ wide and the gun measures about 12 inches tall. I would like to find a case that would fit it in the $100-$150 range. It does not have to be airline approved. I could go with a shorter case and remove the air bottle if I need to.

Just want something to put the Condor in so I can haul it in the back seat area of my 2007 Tacoma extended cab.

Are the soft cases rigid enough for transport in a truck?

Just curious as to what kind of cases you guys are using?

I just bought an SKB 5014 like this one…

I paid $247 shipped via that site, just search pricegrabber.com for it and it’s discounted.

Plano makes a singe 52″ rifle plastic case it’s under $30 at midwayusa.com and PA… 😉

Here is the link, unfortunately they are on back order…

Try bow cases? My brother found a used one for 20 bucks, some new foam from the craft store and and it fits his 48″ condor perfectly.

You can get a Pelican 1750 for $125 on eBay with free shipping.

I got one and its excellent, came 2nd day fedex in original unopened packaging and the guy was selling a lot of them.

I have an AiM soft-case which is actually quite rigid (built-in armor of some kind). It has straps coming off it in all directions, ruck-sack style, shoulder-style, hand-style and lower-down-a-cliff style. It takes my rifle (24″ barrel) with the bottle attatched, loads of pockets inside and out. Only con was the price, around £150. I suspect it would be cheaper in the US though. I’ve travelled with it a fair bit and it’s been good as gold.
