Harris Bi-pod question
i just bought a Harris bi-pod on ebay for $7 and i was wondering how i can mount it to my SS?

i just taped a hole through a BKL mount and i works fine, nice and stable
I am pretty sure that is the same bi-pod I have on my Condor.. I didn’t want to be drilling any hole in my forestock so I purchased a BKL mount and a friend of mine drilled and tapped a place on it and inserted the stud that hold the bipod.. It works great and looks real good.
Check out this thread that was posted earlier and see what you think. I am sure we could arrange to have the same modification done for you..
Hey Dadwilson, it’ss a Harris Bipod model BR-S. Which is the bench rest model with a swivel feature. It will adjust from 6 to 9 inches.

I had a very hard time in figuring out just what bipod to get and what adapter. just which bipod did you get.
Condorsniper, it’s uncle mike’s swivel bases part # 2500-0 which consists of a single 7/8 inch machine screw base, a single 3/4 inch wood screw, two white spacers and a small nut for the machine screw. Don’t use the wood screw (it’s the one with the really course threads). I looked on the Uncle Mike’s web site, it seems they are only showing bulk packs of 12 or more swivel bases. They only show a picture of the wood screw type.

Lou, great looking gun you’ve got there. Wandering if you might could snap a pic of the gun on it’s side with the bipod legs retracted? Would be interested in seeing how far down that setup hangs from the forearm when the legs are folded up.

You can try this, I bought a set of machine screw sling studs (Uncle Mikes brand) not the wood screw type. I then drill a small hole on the standard forend where I wanted to position the Harris bipod. I then inserted the stud into the hole I drilled and secured it with the supplied nut. It is very secure and very easy to do. Costs about $3 bucks.
