Q:

Harris Swivel Pod Lock Bipod

I see a lot of people on here using Harris Bipods and I wanted to let everyone know of a mod that’s really popular with us folk at ar15.com

It’s called the Pod Lock and it allows you to lock in your harris swivel at whatever angle you please. No more adjusting the legs to make your rifle sights level if you are on uneven ground, and if you have the notched bipod sometimes its impossible to level it without the Pod Lock.

Previously you had to find the parts at random places online but brownells carries the parts in a package. Stop buying fixed harris bipods, and get the swivel and get the mod. It’s worth it!

Enjoy 🙂

That is quite a pricey item but that is just what I need for my rig. I won’t want the bipod on when I am trecking through the woods and the like. I just may have to save my pennies a while longer ….

BTW- I personally like the notched version because its more stable if you do the Pod Lock Mod. The non notch is just as good, but if you are doing the Pod Lock, you wont have to adjust the leg lengths anymore.

Another thing we do is make the bipod quick disconnect. You would need a dovetail to picatinny adapter to use this though. http://stores.homestead.com/Laruetactical/Detail.bok?no=38

Its an expensive product because its made to withstand war fighters, but if anyone is looking to detach their bipod on and off.. this is a great product. Just remember you would need a dovetail to picatinny converter too.

Same here – an HBL-S 9-13″ is coming.
