Has anyone done this???
I have read this forum for HOURS looking for answers and have found almost everything I’m after…great site with tons of knowledge. There’s only one question that I haven’t been able find my answer for…….
Has anyone taken the guts out of the CO2 adapter and swapped them into a standard Talon tank? From all the pics and reading I’ve done it seems that this is all I’d need to convert into a Condor set up but I’d love to know if it’s been done before I attempt this.
My girl was purchased used with a ton of upgrades already having been done including the TT Talon heavy hammer and hammer spring as I know that both will be needed (and possibly even making the hammer even heavier) to open the condor valve. Besides playing with hammer weight and adjusting TH is there anything else you could forsee me needing to complete this and turn my sweet mid power rifle into the POWERHOUSE I’m chasing?
The other part of the equation I’m wondering is if anyone has experience with TT shrouds…
I love this gun with all the bells and whistles she’s already outfitted with but in the spirit of airguns and American, I just can’t leave well enough alone and am now pursuing more knowledge and power through the DIY mods/tune route.
Any other ideas or advice on mods to consider, accessories, tunes, etc that y’all can think of?

I second the note on the shroud, they are very quiet. I have a Talon SS with both 22 & 25 caliber 18″ barrels. I run an R&L Condor valve so it will sling 21.1 22’s supersonic, and, can get the 25gr JSB 25’s there if turned too far up. You can get both down to reasonable speeds however.
I knew the burst disc was different and figured I could just swap the TH, poppet and brass retainer into the valve body from the talon. This avoids the disc issue as well as keeps me with the spinloc/foster/gauge set up. It gonna be a few days/weeks before I do the swap as I need HEAVY lead in .22 to tackle the testing/tuning to obtain the desired results. I know the power is achievable just a matter of if I can get it in .22 or not
I have a little experiance with talontunes shrouds. They are the best i have tried. Above is a link to my youtube channel. I have 3 shrouds compared side by side.
For the co2 adaptor, the burst disc is set lower than the hpa version. If you slap it on a tank then fill to 3 k psi they will blow.
I have a condor valve on my talon with stock condor spring and hammer. I need the heavy hammer also if i want to run the gun with no preload on the spring. At 3400 psi i have to turn up the power wheel to 12. There is a ton of potential in these little guns. All in how you set it up.

Sorry for the short post yesterday, I was on a phone, and I suck at thumb typing. Anyway about the TT shrouds, I have I think the 6″ might be a bit longer one on my rig, and all you hear right now is the hammer and the pellet hit. Like mentioned previously very quiet, top notch, and workmanship is top of the line. Hope this help at least a little.
