I lurked for a long time, been a member of the caf for a couple years, dont post much, mainly stop in for the info and entertainment. Randy hub set me up w my Condor .22

Did you register the site? Was there any error during the registration? Mine took a few days for approval process.

Tom,

is it possible if you do the same on this site? so the shooter can accept your agreement and buy it through this forum?

Thanks…

Hi Tom,

I have been trying to join automags for a couple weeks, any tricks?

I an looking to get on the list

Hi Tom, thanks for the quick response. I know that there are several people who would like to get on the waiting list. Thanks for posting the link again. Spam sucks!

Building them right is absolutely the best way. I applaud you for doing it right. All good things are worth waiting for.

Thanks and good luck, Steve

The “ShoeBox Compressor” is the cheapest you can get and you can always fill the portable bottle in advanced before shooting.

If you get a lot of cash, I hightly recommend to get 1 of the compressor mamcrackin posted above and 1 88 cu feet scuba tank, you good to go.

Otherwse get the ShoeBox Compressor with 2x 44 cu feet scuba tank with cascade fitting and using top off between the 2 tank, you can shoot all day long with that 2 tanks.

My setting a bit different, I started out with 2x 88 cu feet with cascading. I also had 4x 44 cu feet tanks and thinking to cascading those 4 tanks and buy ShoeBox Compressor to fill the rest of the tanks I had, that will last me a week of shooting 😆 😆 😆

Don’t forget to getting fitting for whatever you get, Joe can help you to get the correct fittings. Joe’s website is: http://www.hamcontact.com/airgun/HoseAssembly/

Just call him and tell him what you need, he will get you going quick and cheap with a highest quality fittings.

Steve,

Its not impossible but I am making it difficult because we are still gearing up production and people just get upset if they have to wait. I am in Chicago right now dealing with production issues and we have had delays. For instance, right now a shipping strike is preventing delivery of some parts.

If anyone wants to get on the waiting list go here:
http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?t=251401
Read the post, apply to be a member on the forum and then post as per the instructions. It may take a few days to get back to you with forum registration because we have to do it by hand to avoid spamers.

A new website and forum is in the works where in the future you will be able to order and post about the compressor. Thanks for the wait but its way more important to me to get them right then to blast them out the door quickly (no matter how many people I end up aggravating).

Thanks

Tom Kaye

HI Tom, kudos for your compressor. I have heard that it is impossible to get on your waiting list. Is this true? Where is this list and how does someone get on it? I don’t know why, but someone asked me. So far it sounds like you have definitely found a niche.

For those with lots of money, or those who want a great heavy duty compressor, follow the link that Mamcrackin posted to Jim Shelden’s website. He is the man to see for heavy duty compressors.

that’s the route i took. got a 44cf carbonfiber scba 4500psi tank with 7 years of usable life in ebay for $120 delivered. that plus a shoebox will keep me in air for under $700 all in. no way could i justify $2000-4000 for a big or fast compressor- i just ain’t in that big of a hurry and i don’t go through 150-200 shots at a time.

It’s not true. We will be making both 4500 and 3000 psi compressors in the next run.

Sweet! That changes my thinking alot…
That and a carbon fiber tank and I think I’m sold…

Check http://www.sheldensportinggoods.com
Reliable and service that is second to none….

Yea I guess…7 mins can be a bit long when your shooting a .25 cal that needs to be refilled every 20-30 shots. Idk… It’s definitely an option but I heard they stopped making the shoesboxs that go to 4500. I think they only make the 3000 psi versions now. I’m still interested if anyone has any info. I guess I can afford the convenience of being able to fill quickly with a compressor.

Is that true? If it only goes to 3000 now then it would be useless to me and probably many others. It would only be good for topping off your tank if you were shooting around the house.

The 4500 and a bottle you could take with you had me thinking of getting one.

other than the initial fill of a tank when new, you never fill a gun tank from empty. my shoebox compressor will take my Talon SS tank from 2200 to 3000psi in 8-9 minutes. why would you pay $1800 plus shipping to do what something else will do that cost $500 shipped when the cheaper item only takes 6-7 more minutes? i know nothing about the compressor you referenced but i know $1400 more is a bit much to pay to save 6 or so minutes per fill. also since it only has a 3000psi output, it will only fill a gun tank to full pressure. if you are trying to fill a scuba tank, it will only fill it to 3000psi which means you can’t fill a gun tank to 3000psi too. the shoebox fills to 4500psi so you can safely give a scuba tank a 3300 psi overfill and still fill a gun tank 5-6 times to 3000psi before scuba tank pressure drops below 3000psi.
