Put it on and he will think its turned way down. Have his eyes been calibrated properly? Does the pellet go twice as fast if looks out both yes while they are crossed? I need more information here so I can get rid of that pain in the butt chrono and calibrate my eyes properly. I hate messing with the sky screens anyhow! 🙄
If you shoot enough across a chrony and listen for pellet impact you can get a pretty good idea of how fast an air rifle is shooting. Especially true when shooting at already known distances and targets. It’s not accurate enough for tuning purposes by any means, but its fun to cover the chrony display and take a guess and then a peek.
It becomes somewhat instinctive, like shooting long range. As a kid, anything out to about 75 yards was dead with my 397 and iron sights. That’s all I had, and I was damn good with it.
