Having a UK sub-12 ftlb gun converted to full power (FAC)

I wonder if someone can possibly advise me?

I’m giving serious consideration to getting my UK Firearms Certificate which will allow me to procure and use airguns in excess of the usual (pointless) UK 12 pound limit. I want the ability to take rabbits at a longer range. Now that I’m getting older it would be easier on my back not to have to stalk them so much.

I own a standard G/P Stealth (.22) in mint condition. How easy will it be to convert the gun to FAC? I presume this will be quite straightforward and will involve simply converting the gun to accept higher air pressure and perhaps uprating the hammer and spring.

I presume that I will need to return the gun to Geoff Darvil at Gunpower and that they can do the conversion quite easily?

Once the gun is FAC will I be able to set the power level as the lucky Yanks can do so on their slightly different (Air Force) versions?

I understand that the Stealth in FAC is a much better beast to shoot and much more reliable? Most of the rubbish talked about on UK forums where the Stealth is often wrongly slated is to do with the fact that the gun was never designed for sub-12 ftlb. I have been told the higher power rifle is truly awsome compared to the usual UK tamed version, is this true or not?
