Q:

Hawke SW 30 tac or Falcon Menace Ffp?

Hi guys,
Planning an upgrade to my Nikon sterling scope.
Now I can’t decide which one among this two
1. Hawke Side winder 30 tac 6.5 – 20 x 42
2. Falcon Menace 5.5 – 25 x 50 ffp
Unfortunately I can’t go and check it from a store/shop nearby as these scopes are not available in country. If I need one I have to import.
Anyone here experienced both please help to decide the one to go with.

For me? Neither. I´ve had it with both Hawke and , although i haven´t own one Falcon with them too. There´s a lot better optical quality (Japanese) for the same money and although not with SF (the scope i´m referring to is a Delta Ti 6-24) the clarity and the quality is so much better.
Several friends have Falcons and i´ve looked thru many and Hawke is the better of those two.

You guys in US have a very good scope brand here : http://www.clearidgeoptics.com/default.asp

Their line of scopes is made in Japan at the Light Optical Works who makes branded scopes for several actors in the scope business.

To get the Falcon I had to wait more than 2 months and filled up PDF Export licence request and paid 310 GBP to get it shipped to kuwait.
It was my First FFP scope and will be the last. i was happy with the new experience but frankly the glass quality and reticle sharpness on the Hawke is much better. I have 4 hawke scopes and 3 MTC and i will never buy anything else other than Hawke SW 30 Tac.
