HAWKE trade in program? Hmmmm…
Fellow forum members:
This is in response to several requests for doing trade on glass, your response is requested. You may post or send a private e-mail to:

We are all about new ideas! Help us out on this; share some feedback on the following concept regarding a HAWKE Optics trade in program:
1. If you spent say $300 for a new scope (with factory warranty), what would you expect for trade in on another model?
2. What are you as a consumer willing to spend on a (non warranty) used scope from a dealer that originally sold for say $300.00? Hawke warranty is only valid to original consumer.
3. How does s dealer determine a price (trade value) on something that is not in his/her hands? What if the dealer is told the trade is perfect in all aspects, and when it arrives it is not?
4. What is a fair sales process that can be a mutually beneficial to both parties? Unlike the car business, we are not into used resale of goods, how can it be profitable for the dealer to stay in business?
5. How do you rate/test a used scope for consideration of both trade and resale? –
Body condition: Dings, dents, nicks, ring marks, scratches
Performance: Glass, optics, performance -(is it defective internally)
I look forward to members responses on this issue and maybe we can craft a trade in program.
