Q:

HEadline news man kills cats !!!

A trail of dead cats was traced back to a Jacksonville homeowner who police said shot the felines with a pellet gun to protect a koi pond in his front yard.

Dana A. Charlton, 30, of the 3400 block of Mayflower Street was charged with animal cruelty Thursday, according to a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office arrest report. He posted $1,500 bail and was released from the Duval County jail.

Neighbors contacted authorities when area cats started turning up with pellet wounds. The report didn’t make clear how many cats were killed or injured.

One of the cats was found bleeding in multiple places and throwing up bile. The pet’s owner took it to a veterinary clinic where the animal died from a fatal abdomen wound, according to the report.

Charlton’s wife surrendered his pellet gun to police, the report said. His 3-year-old child told officers “Daddy likes to shoot cats.”

Yeah… right! The dude lives in Jax, there aint no way he is gonna sell dead cats to local Jacksonville or any food establishments in the United States. And the above photo is obviously from the other side of the planet! So… how the heck is he gonna send the carcasses to China and get paid for it? Even at volume discounts, the local Chinese will still undercut him in terms of pricing! 😀

My original statement (united States health inspectors will close down violating food establishments in the US of A, not China) still stands Yellow fellow err Ninja! HA! 😎

HEY! where they goin with all those targets?

Ok, so I am an occasional lurker here, but its one thing to attack on cats feral or otherwise… but you gotta stop stereotyping people. You know that that there are health inspectors for ALL restaraunts. So making a quick buck on selling feline carcasses aint gonna happen. 😎

My newspaper man said I almost didn’t get last week’s sunday funnies because he was run off by a Puddy Tat, the black and white stripped kind.
So, I don’t plan on trapping any Puddy Tats in my yard.

Thats funny. 😆 😆

I can honestly say that if my birds were crapping all over my neighbors cars and causing a problem I would stop feeding them no questions asked and I expect the same respect.

My wild birds are trained not to crap on cars lol, but seriously we own the house to the west due to grandpa passing it down to us and the one we are in is going back to the bank which I explained in another threat (grandpa’s girlfriend took 130k loan out on house) the next house to the west is abandoned and so is the next one after that.

On the east side the guys house and cars sit way back from the road and he’s a good 100+ feet from my trees where the birds live and sleep and trust me if he had a problem with them he would say something.

test finally made the dang avatar work.

That’s hilarious hoot 🙂 poor bird and the problem with the live traps is that in the spring I knew who owned which cats so I took the pets back to the owners and after a couple times they become trap shy.

I was trying to be a good neighbor and my focus was on the huge number of feral cats.

I found that in the state law on animal cruelty even though it’s a feral cat you can still be charged and if someone is feeding the cats on a regular basis you can be in bigger trouble.

I’ll be honest about it, I wouldn’t care if they would just put the collars and bells that I purchased on the cats. I still wouldn’t be happy about the dog getting sick.

I sound like an angry old man and I just don’t think someone elses pet should cost me money or my time.
