Heated CO2 Tank?
Has anyone ever invented a heated tank for CO2?
I’ve often thought about wrapping some of those self-adhesive “foot warmer” cloth things around a capsule or tank. You can buy them at Big 5 Sporting Goods or other camping/ sports stores.
One vision is to make a cover for a tank that works like an electric blanket or heated mittens. A 9 volt battery could keep the tank at 90+ degrees for a couple hours.
Anyone seen such an animal???

Seems like any sort of tank cover that is not heated would only worsen the problem since the cold is coming from inside the tank. Any cover that insulates would act like an ice chest, but would be a lot nicer on your cheek instead of a cold tank. As far as electrical heaters, i am thinking it would take quite a bit of electrical power to warm a co2 tank, they are pretty damn good at getting cold.

but for winter shooting you can put an electric sock on your tank they run off a d cell or a 9 volt for 5 hrs
or u can buy a paintballl tank cover for winter paintballing i used to have one i got at the local paintball shop ill stop by and see if it is still available there and give u a brandname and price and stuff

I was thinking of a similar design/concept for my crosman 2250. Especially heating the valve, since that usually cools down considerably and degrades shots fired in close succession. If you can control the temperature enough and stay within the limits of the structural integrity of the tank you might be safe.

Yes, I’m only thinking about keeping the tank at the same temperature it would be on a nice Spring or Summer day. Something like 85 degrees even though you may be shooting on a cold Winter day.
The “foot warmer” adhesive pads or electric mittens can’t get too hot or they would scald people. Therefore, I thought they might be a naturally safe choice.
However, I’d much prefer The Roc’s little lady’s cleavage to tuck my tank in.
hmmm, wonder if he just wants to be able to shoot in the winter time…not necessarily heating the tank just to get higher pressure…at least I hope that is what he was wanting to do…

I think the co2 option is for simple plinking with lots of shots to a tank. Once you start aiming for higher velocity you’re safer to switch back to the HPA tank instead of purposely heating up a co2 tank in the summer season.

electrical socks get warm i work in a 25-35 below zero freezer at work and wear them they work well for 5 hrs a battery
as far as the tanks i used to use this on my paintball tanks so i could play in the winter when it is 20 degrees or colder out the socks make the tank toasty warm until you shoot but it warms up quick
