Q:

Heavy pellets for Talon Tunes Condor .25

Hi all,
I wanted to know what the best heavy pellet to use in my 25 cal condor mod by Tony at Talon Tunes. This thing is awsome and shoots the 43 grainers at 975 to 980 at 92fpe. I want to see what kind of power I could acheive with a heavier pellet. If anyone has any experience and can offer some advice I would greatly appreciate it. Also if I could get info on where to purchase them would also be appreciated.

load multiple pellets to determine max payload the gun will shoot.
As in 2 Kodiak’s, 3 Kodiak’s. Determine the shot string acceptable to you from those weights.
Once you settle on a weight for power see if Jerry has the weight you like.

For my Vulture I like 50 gainers and make pretty good power with them

Voltar you are a Dad Burned Riot man. I put 3 of the Diablo exacts in 25.4 grains in my 25 condor and man it was like a shotgun at 25 Yards, and hit dead center and made a heck of a hole. That’s how I’ll start using it on the pest, they don’t stand a chance, and the Condor has power to spare, over 75 grains of power in one shot and you can’t miss LOLOL.
Now I have made the same mistake with the Maraud, but Used 2 pellets at 10 yards and they both hit the same hole, but the 25 Condor is a blast. Good thinking my man. Any more Ideas ? I’m listening LOLOL 😀

Gonzo,

Sorry I didn’t reply earlier, for some reason I didn’t catch the unread post. If you can get 92fpe with a 43gr pellet, you won’t have any problem getting over 100fpe with any of the Barnes slugs by Surefire Casting. The lightest of our .25s is almost 50% heavier and the 9 ring is twice as heavy. They are a pain to load but a number of folks here have had excellent results with them.

Mrnewbie,

Thanks for posting the link.

if that power has been verified via chronograph, id PM Jerry and start talkin slugs. you should have no problem achieving a few 3 digit fpe shots 😯
