Q:

Hello everyone!

I’m Coilvoce and just wanted to be polite and say hello before I posted anything. I’m a noob and have a lot of questions, but I try to read to find my answers first. I ordered a Talon from a seller on GB and received a Condor instead and will more than likely work with it to make it more suitable for my needs. Thanks for allowing me to join the club.

its a newer valve. however, once you get familiar with the gun, you may want to buy a new brass face from AF, as even mine(bc04938) had a flimsy o ring compared to the current offering.

Hello Money,
Whats this new brass face you are taking about ? How would I know which one I have.
Thanks.

I will answer this one since I have already been exposed to this topic and I’m back first. Unscrew your tank and look at the brass ring under the top hat valve. You should either see two small circular indentions in the brass, or a slot with a half circle end on either side. If you see circles, it’s older. If you see the slots with the half circular ends, it’s newer. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the suggestion moneyshot. I will look into it.

theres online fill calculators you can refer to. scuba or scba is the way to go, unless you cant get em filled.

if pumping, the hill is the only way to go…

My brass valve has slot shaped indentions rather than circular. My research indicates that this is a newer refined valve design, which is suppost to be a bit quieter correct? One question I am having difficulty finding the answer to is… How many fills will my rifle air tank get off my scuba tank before the scuba tank will need to be refilled given all fills are 3000 psi and shooting conservatively in the middle of the power wheel range of the Condor? And yes I know I still need the 300 dollar Hill manual pump… Doh! 🙄

the bc serial #s are condors. youve done your homework.

about the valve, look at the brass face in front, under the “tophat”.

are the slots u shaped or circle shaped?

The model number is R0401 and it does have the extended scope rail with the extra connecting leg. I’m 99.9% it’s a Condor, but hey at this point I’m not the expert. I would post some pics, but I’ll have to get my camera back from my wife. It looks like a typical .22 Condor with the larger of the two Airforce scopes and a AF bipod. I am curious if it has the new valve etc. If it helps to anwer that, the serial number is BC03837. I’m still looking for a used .22 12″ barrel, Talon valve and endcap for around the yard shooting.

curious,

whats the serial no.? do you have the extended scope rail? if not, it may be a long barreled talon…

why not send us a pic of your new baby?

Exactly. I’m not sweatin it at all, as the Condor is a shooting system and one isn’t stuck with the setup as purchased! This is one of the things that made me zero in on the AF line initially… punn intended.

Lots O air – check, Lots O pellets – check, Lots O pests – check, and as for the chrony, that’s on the to do list along with a Hill pump, shroud and shorter spare barrel. Already have the fill clamp with guage along with two full size scuba tanks and a scope. The Condor is ready for lift off!

:tag:
You are going to shoot the condor alot. Better get lots of air, pellets, and a chrony, if you dont already have one.
And lots of live targets, I mean pests 😈

lol… Pablouk is the official Welcome Wagon! Sends a basket of squirrel poop and nutsacks if you accidentally let him know your address.

Count yourself lucky Coilvoce. Don’t sweat the length of your Condor. You can get a 12 inch (.25 cal) short barrel and install moderation behind the endcap if you want to maintain a compact OAL. You got a higher wallop:wallet ratio with the Condor!

as stated… welcome a-broad.

That reminds me of the time I bought a Chevy Cavalier and they ended up giving me a Corvette by mistake.

Yeah, I know what you mean. The only thing bummin me out is the over all length after moderator. Damn long. Doh!
