Help: Condor SS shooting too low

Hi Folks,

I recently installed the TT hammer w/ slap mod on my Condor SS. After re installing the barrel and all parts, I noticed that it is now shooting far lower than before. It’s so low that it’s out of range for the scope.

I re installed the original hammer and have the same issue so it’s not related to TT hammer.

It took me quite a bit of time the first time I re installed the barrel.

Is it possible to damage the barrel? Are there any adjustments that I’m not aware of? Has anyone run into this issue?

Thanks.

Thanks John. It sounds like i could be way over tightening it. You only tighten it 1/8th turn past snug?

You want the screws reasonably tight, but tightened evenly. You repeat the sequence until all four screws are properly snug, but not extremely tight. Just bear in mind we’re talking small screws that don’t need much torque. Twice, maybe three eighth-turn passes.

I’m assuming you didn’t monkey with the screws that lock the bushing to the barrel. Loosen the four barrel lock screws and carefully retighten each one until it barely bottoms out. Start with vertical screws tighten front then rear 1/8 turn. Do the same with the horizontal screws, front then rear. Repeat until snug. I once removed the barrel without screwing up the zero using this technique. (Only once, but hey.)

If that don’t work, I got no clue.

Deff clean and lube the frame and hammer and barrel and breech orings. Is the TT hammer barrel or frame riding?

Could be clipping? Take the end cap off and take a few shots.

Make sure you have re-lubed the o rings in the breech and keep the frame internal clean and polished…
