Help me choose my Condor SS
I’m looking to purchase a Condor SS, and any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. I’ve been doing some research at Pyramyd Air, who I will probably order from unless there are some better suggestions.
The main purpose of the gun will be hunting woodchucks. Where I live it is difficult to use the .223 bull barrel I used when we lived on the farm, now we have neighbors (but not close,) and I understand that the pellet does not have a multi mile kill radius like a bullett would. I had been considering the marauder, too, but I think the Condor is the way to go, because I will be able to adjust the power down if I just want to do some plinking and target shooting, plus I think it will have overall better quality and accuracy. Again, I welcome any comments or suggestions regarding this thinking.
I believe I will go with the .25 caliber
Looking for a good scope. I am considering the Hawke optics 4-16×50 AO AirMac 30 (PY-A-5567). I see that there is a more expensive one with some ballistic software and feature, but I don’t think I would use that. Do you think this is a good choice for the gun? What mounts should I get.
I would like a good bipod, but heard the one by Airforce is both expensive and not particularly well built. I’m looking at the UTG Op 2. Good choice? Will I need an adapter to put it on?
I plan on hand pumping, Air Venturi G6 pump a good choice? Thoughts.
What sort of pellets should I buy for plinking? Target shooting? Hunting woodchucks?
Are there other alternatives I should be thinking about? Things I’m missing?
Thank you in advance for your help!

you might want to check air force website to see if they have any blemished models for sale. that’s where I got mine.
I would suggest a hill pump. you could find a used one on the yellow forum classifieds to keep cost down. I have never pumped my condor but I heard its a good workout.
I would say a good scope would be a http://swfa.com/SWFA-SS-10x42M-Tactical-Riflescope-P53713.aspx. All hawke scope reticles and generic mildot reticles can be used with their ballistic software. I use a hawke panorama 4-12×40 1/2 mildot (Prod). But I currently have an optisan mamba lite 3-12×40 on the condorSS and that is not in there reticle database. but strelok pro is an app that has all kinds of reticles.
Buy JSB King 25.4 they are usually the best. H&N hunters are good too. It really depends on the gun and sometimes how fast you are shooting the pellets. try a few different kind or just get JSB and be done.
alternatives you might consider might be a carbon fiber tank, one of the hatsan rifles might in your budget but since I don’t know your budget I will also include the kalibrgun carbine in .25, and a chronograph.
