Help me set up my .25 cal condor for critter killin!
I have this condor:
It is a shrouded .25 cal with an 18″ LW barrel and vented bushing. The knock off blodnob valve it came with broke before I could figure out it wasn’t the real deal. :banghead: So I am left with a stock condor high flow valve and an etac reg and considering my options.
Would really appreciate some input so I can get it dialed in for shooting coons out to 100 yrds. We have a pond and the vermin come in from all over I am sure as I am always finding their crap but I digress.
I want to use eun jin 43 grain, kodiak 18 grain and predator polymags 26 gr pellets since those are what I have on hand and the guy I bought the gun from was shooting coyote with the kodiaks successfully! Yes I realize I am going to have to do some testing to see what shoots well in my particular barrel and what pw settings are best. What I am hoping to do is balance the system out from top hat to reg pressure so I can make changes with the power wheel for different pellets.
Happy to stick with my stock valve and see how it does. Am also considering a top hat from tony. What do you all suggest for top hat settings and output pressure on the reg? Should I pop and spend the 40$ for a new polished top hat?

With an 18 inch barrel you’ll want around 2500 psi output from the reg. Set the tophat high( enough so you know you’re getting all the air out of the chamber each shot) Or better, get a one piece tophat from Tony. The stock tophats are crap. Fill to 3000psi (or a bit more if you’re feeling naughty) Set the pw quite high then shoot across a chrony. Keep lowering the pw until fps drops. Then bring the pw back up a little. This should give you your optimum pw setting. You should see around 890-900 with Kodiaks and around 910-920 with the Kings.
