Help my condor @ 100 yards
Ok, few questions for you guys. I finally got the machete out and cut a 100 yard path so I could shoot long range with the condor. I am though, having some trouble grouping that far away.
FIrst off, how many shots do you guys get before you need to refill while shooting at 100 yards? I know a slight pressure change is much more dramatically noticed at 100 yards, so how often do you fill?
Best I have done so far is about 2″ for 5 shots. I had a few 3 shot groups go in a group a tad under an inch, which is about where I want to gun to be shooting, but then the next shot will be an inch or more low. This makes me think the velocity is varrying enough to cause that. Left and right it stays pretty dead on, wind is rather calm.
I don’t believe I’m the problem here. Even on my off days with firearms, 1″ is pretty big, so I don’t see why the condor would be a whole lot different.
So something is causing velocity changes in the gun. What is it? The valve is good, I know that, so it has to be something in the tube. Any ideas?

I havent shot much at that range , due to lack of range! 😀
But 2 -3 weeks ago , I did take it out to the range , and I was hitting 2inch clay pigions (stationary of course) at what I guessed was 100 yards . but after I laszed it , it was 117 yards
MY power level was set on 12-13 . I would hit about four in a row then my point of impact would drop.
I corrected my MOA and I would hit 3 or four more and again my POI would change.
I came to the obvious conclusion that as the pressure dropped in the bottle so did my POI.
So what i think it needs is a regulator to control the amount of air per shot and im going to order one soon from JDS airman when I get the chance.
kind of like a reloader that would make the weight exactly the same.
The other thing I think might help but I havent tried it yet is to lower the power setting to 5 at the most maybe even start at 2 . with the idea of getting more consistant shots by useing less air . I dont have a close by range so I cant say for certain but it would seem logical.
I belive I was useing 32 gr ein juns
