WOW i just wanted to see if anybody had these grips in stock now look what it turned into 😀 😀 😀
Buzzcat – yes I sent them a reply with a cupel picks of the grip on my rifle and a brief note as to how the work well on a wide rang of things such as my WWII star 9mm, it fit like a glove on it and that is the main reason I’m looking for another one. hopefully they will see the light and start up production once more. I would like to see them keep it and not make a deal with P/A or A/F for as you said the price would skyrocket.
“Hi, Yes, the slip on grips have been discontinued. How were they used on Air guns?

start a campaign for them to make another run, perhaps if they could figure out it was bad marketing that did it in they will star up again.
Blue:
Did you reply to tell them what the interest is?
If I was a sales rep for Lyman, or the marketing manager for AF, I’d be on the phone to see what kind of deal might be worked out. Make them OEM on new guns and also add it as an aftermarket option (via Pyramid, etc.) for older guns.
Let’s get these two birds together… send a note to Lyman with AF’s e-mail contact info, and vice versa. Win-Win for everyone involved.
Why do I have to think of everything? 😆
(though something tells me that if a deal goes through, an AF branded grip will run in the $25 range… 🙄 )
I’m still keeping an eye out for NOS at gun shows occurring in the area, if I find ’em, I’ll buy them.
I received a reply from the manufacture…

I’ll hit up the shop I bought mine. I could be wrong, but I thought they were stocked back up with them when I was there last.
So you guy’s managed to get me concerned so I emailed the ‘company’ and got two reply’s back.
I also asked him how many he has left. Keep you posted. If he is willing I will just buy them off him and provide them at cost for the members hear.
Ill jeep you posted
called amfo yoday they have the front grip in just not the back one. I called them to order mine and it was here in 2 days of ordering. you might also check http://www.tickbitesupply.com they might have it. They have the best scope prices i have found also.
With hunting season fast approaching, there’s going to be a local gun show or two popping up before too long. All the usual suspects trying to unload their NOS accessories. 😆
Might be the best place to find one. Maybe the only place, because my exhaustive searches on the ‘net show that TacStar stopped making them a while ago, any surplus stock is gone, and nobody has any to sell anymore.
Blue Jay, let us know what kind of answer you get, OK?… thanks!
I have sent TacStar an email inquiring about the slip on, now only time will tell if they still make them. I will post what and when they reply

I don’t mean to rattle your cage, I hope you get the grip, but that website set off my BS alarm. They’ve got everything under the sun for sale and the best name they can come up with to call themselves is “Nylon Holster”???
Maybe I missed it, but I couldn’t find one stick of info on that site about who those folks are or where they’re located, other than the “Southwest Distribution” name at the bottom. The Contact page is blank. No address, e-mail or phone info. The fact that the footnote says that the site was designed in 1996 didn’t give me any “warm and fuzzies” either.
Just sayin’… not trying to be the “voice of reason” or the “voice of doom” here, but we all want one of those Tac Star grips, and the ‘net is just one big fishin’ hole.. and we’re the fish. Swim carefully.
something about the sight made my bs meter go off as well, not to mention every thing I looked at they are charging double the money for than everyone else on the web.
has anyone tried to contact tac star to find out if they are even making them any more? might be worth a try

Those people at AFMO.COM do not have the grips either AND they could care less to answer your emails asking about them. I order a grip 4 weeks ago with Paypal and heard nothing from them. I emailed and called. Finally I told them to cancel my order and refund me – they got the message and refunded me finally.

Looks like those that have this grip, may have made it just in time.
I better get on it and call the gunshop TOMORROW, and have them set aside the ones they have left for me.
How many of you have this grip now? Nobody had one a year ago (‘cept me) and now they are getting popular, and dis-continued at the same time!! 🙄
Best grip runnin’ that goes right on, and stays on, as is!
