Q:

help! new guy here

Hi, I am new to the condor and was seeking advice on pellets and where is best to purchase from for the condor. I am having a hard time with this gun. I can’t seem to fill it with my disco pump so filling or figuring out what and how to fill will be my next project. I want it to be an accurate powerhouse but I am not very acclimated in tuning and am to poor to have it done. Wild turkey and raccoon should be my largest game, maybe something larger later but just basics for now. My other gun is a discovery and I love it but I don’t think it has the power for what I want to hunt. Advice is appreciated.
Thanks

I would hold off on the self tuneing if your not so sure of what your doing. But ajusting the tophat seems to be the easyist and cheapest way to add a little more ooomph. But you need a gauge of some sort and a chroney to do it right. I havent ajusted mine and just run it stock for right now.

My chroney consists of a 3/4 inch formica and hard board counter top. 😀

shooting a stock Condor, it blew a hole clean through it with athority and buried itself in a 2×4 behind it !!!.

There is no doubt that my condor will drop a turkey , chicken , pidgon, duck, goose , rabbits , cats, dogs ,racoons, mink, muskrats , opossom, beaver, woodchuck, squrrils, bats, seagulls, bluejays, robins, frogs ,lizards , rats , mice crows, midgets, and small childern enemy non combatants 😀 and whatever other creature that has the misfortune to challenge my condor.

If I were you, I wouldnt worry about the power of the condor on a full tank.

I think what you need to get is the proper adapter and full tank of air and see what this thing can do .

As far as pellets go , all the above are all good . But ,if your shooting at lower velocitys, because of your tank,You can get away with the standard pellets that worked well in your disco also.

But with a full tank , I would definately go with heavy pellets.

another option with lower velocitys is to drop down to a 177 barrel .

You just need the proper adaptor for your airforce tank .. I always filled mine with my discovery pump. It wasn’t easy the first time, but when you just have to top it from 2000 psi to 3000, it’s not so bad.

X2 on the Kodiaks and Tim @ MAC1 is really cool. Is it a .22 Cal.? What is your top hat set at? Do you have a Chrony?

JSB Exact and Kodiak are proven performers. If you need more weight you may also try the Eun Jins. Straight Shooters and MAC1 Airguns are pretty good places to get pellets from when they are in stock.
