Q:

Help please

With my trigger pins.
I’ve installed the new trigger parts in my new frame, and have found it very difficult to drive the pins in fully. I’ve used big grips which has almost done the job, but they are still sticking out a bit…

Also, I want to service my trigger parts in my old frame. Whats the best way to remove the old pins? And do I need to use fresh pins on re-install??

Thanks guys 😀

looks like samjack might be after your old frame 😎

samjack if you are you have nothing to worry about from me i just brought a 12L dive bottle so dont have the £’s to splash about at the moment

Pab check your mail please, let me no pal please……..

how much did the new frams set you back? mine is purple 🙁 i’d quite like a new black one 😀

Thanks guys. I know about the small splines on the pins. Thats the little fuckers making the job difficult 👿
I shall dig out my centre punch and use that to take out the old ones. Guess I’ll get the big lump hammer out to drive home the ones on the new frame 😆

Look at the pins and see which side has the slits. Do not hit that side, hit the other side.

Hit it harder. 🙂

i used just a small punch with the new frame it might take a little because of the barbs on the pin actuaaly bite into the frame when you drive them in ,no new pins should be needed but the only come out one way

I used a finishing nail setting punch…
