Q:

Here goes nothing….177 Sumatra 2500

Man I’ve been beating my head on a rock literally for flipping months 😆 whether to try one of these or not? Well I finally bit the bullet and called AOA(Airguns of Arizona). Pyramid who I normally deal with said it takes 2-3 months to get one in 🙁 but AOA stocks them so 😀 ….guy told me he might be able to get it out today 😀 😀

I have high hopes it will be a decent Field Target gun and I know it will be a fun plinker…LOVED the .20 I had a couple months ago.

Curious what pellets it is going to like? and what kind of shot count I can squeeze out of it?

Anyone else ever have/shoot one of these in .177?

Well they shipped it out yesterday!!! WOOT!

Vlady, you bet, I’ll do a couple of strings with highest power EJ’s and Kodiaks…I’ll only click it down if they break the sound barrier. I’ll shoot some clay and stuff to see how the .177’s penetrate too 😆 those little EJ’s will prolly shoot through a foot of clay!

Please let us know how it does with those heavy ones on the highest setting…

Hi Vlady, I’m hoping it is going to be as good as this one here http://talonairgun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=713 I had this a couple months ago and it was very adjustable in Velocity and had pretty good consistancy. I didn’t shoot it enough to REALLY get to know it but the few hundred shots I got I loved it…I think I have some of the Eun Jin’s in .177 but have never shot one except in .20 and .22’s.

Nebraska, the Starlings didn’t smarten up yet 😈 one of the f’ers was pecking a dove at the feeder today and I was frigging salivating BUT my hard core Vegitarian animal lover niece was here and I just couldn’t bring myself to shoot something in front of her 😆 I got me ALL kinds of fancy bird food last night 😆 it’s going to be some GOOD shooting soon…Oh yea got my Ohio hunting license so the Crows are fair game come Fri, Sat and Sun 😈

you gonna need 16 gr. eunjins for that caliber, even then I am not sure if you can keep them subsonic. you should have gone with .22
Consistency is another issue with Sumatras.

Have no knowledge of them. but I sure wish I had one coming to my house. Looking forward to hear how it performs. Might want to keep it quite or all the starlings will move down the road:D
