Q:

Here ya go WOK…this a bit better?

Danke’ for the screws btw!

I did hear your points on the ease of optics & so forth on the LD versus 10 Meter pistols so decided to tinker with my C5 semi-auto

slightly modified B Square Izh46 base to fit the FWB barrel with a Simmons 2X6 variable…may drop a spare Leupold variable on it later
After all this platform deserves nothing but the best!

Installed a very effective moderator that was originally built for a FWB P30 PCP…near silent but for the snick of the action cycle

Then installed the much longer FWB C2 pressure tube
ran around 40 shots the other night, still over a half charge left in the tube

ragged one hole groups no different than the factory shot one on the manual cover in the upper right corner

Kinda Luke Skywalkish now. The eye relief is perfect for me and since the 5 round mags load from the side I am able to extend the scope well over the action and keep it very low as well

sucks though, no longer fits in it’s pretty presentation case 😆
anyways this little shit is easily as accurate as my FWB 300SU and runs nearly the same FPS

OK…agreed it’s not .22 but unlike most other pistols I have 4 follow up shots deliverable with the same surgical precision as the first as fast as I can tap the trigger and reloading for 5 rounds takes less time than for 1 shot in a humble single shot.

Pretty radical no?

I’m just messin with ya RS. I would rather have a multishot 177 than a single 22.

And I REALLY like they way that pistol looks!! LDs don’t look that badass, actually most ag pistols don’t even look that badass!

I have the IZHM64 which has a similar ray-gun look. It’s a single shot, single stroke pumper with a great grip. There is something really convenient about co2 or pcp powered multi shot pistols… I just can’t put my finger on it right now… 😆

Doesn’t need to be a round 2
WOK noted a few legitimate advantages of the LD platform over 10 meter hardware & at least in my opinion I think I rather neatly overcame each one.

Yes the LD is .22
that is a bit superior, won’t argue that a great deal
then again you better be at least a .22 as you will be taking at least a minute to retract the bolt, drop a pellet, close bolt, cock striker then finally fire
truth is in the time it take to reload the LD I will have dumped 5 rounds, reloaded and likely dumped 5 more 😆 😆 😆

key point in this discussion is what is more effective?
a single .22 pellet?
or 2 to 3 .177 pellets?
this question was settled long ago with firearms, forget the formula but multiple individual hits graphically multiply target trauma
its the way just a few 00 buck pellets are more effective than a single .45 ACP round on two legged varmints.

Yeah, agreed it takes ability to be effective
that’s not a factor for me
off a bag in the basement triple taps at about 25 yards were pretty much ragged holes
that’s effective enough for me, will see how she performs at extended ranges this summer

as an aside I’ve had no trouble taking birds at 40+ yards with my FWB C2

The Venom LD I had might have slightly better range but suffered due to what I felt was a bad trigger contrasted to any 10 meter pistol

anyways my main issue was all the flag waving over the LD promoting it as some manner of ultimate air gun
it is what it is…some love them, others get one and sell it in short order

Isn’t that the pistol Luke Skywalker used to invade the Death Star? 😆

Looks great with the new muffler. 😀

Is that a .22? 🙄

Oh boy, does this start round 2? 😆
