Q:

Hey, "new old" member here,….

…………..actually been a member awhile. Don’t check in often because my Talon SS has been set up fine years ago and has been whackin’ squirrels fine since. To show you how long I’ve had this; the airgun ( a blem, never did find the blem) and the pump ( I think it’s a Hill? precursor to the FX? It’s blue ) cost me $350. Pretty sure I’ve owned this about 15 years. Seems like a lot of neat stuff came out for these over the years. I did get rid of that Delrin hammer awhile ago. Got a brass one with o rings. Also polished the insides. Smoothed it out some. Got rid of the safety, was just a PITA. Always forgot to take it off when going for ( and losing ) the shot. Even have one of those “hi-flow” tanks. Got it for game bigger than squirrels. Never did need it. Found out that the regular tank drops feral cats fine. Yes…..I said cats. When you live in the country, feral cats are vermin. For you sensitive types, when you walk out your back door with a cup of coffee and there’s ten ferals lounging in the sun, and almost all of them hiss at you, there a problem. Only time I was ever afraid of cats. At one time we had about 25 to 30 roaming around. The neighbors and myself took care of that problem. We keep’em down to a few now. One or two around are good for keeping the regular vermin down.

Anyways, to my question. Are there rebuild kits with instructions for these pumps? I feel the gaskets/O-rings starting to go on mine. Always did the silicon thing. The local dive shop doesn’t even look at me funny anymore. Second dive shop actually. My Talon outlasted the first one that went out of business. So, do these exist? I thank you fine gentleman for all your responses, good or bad. I’m thankful that you even read this post from someone who posts once a decade or so. What can I say? If it works and ain’t broke, why waste peoples valuable time?

God Bless.
