high flo valve
Pyramid sells a 177 and a 22 caliber high flo tanks and valve. Are there any difference in the valve in the different calibers? Thanks for reply,, Ben

This is where I think AF has totally fucked up.
I bought a new Talon tank from MidwayUsa. Problem was it was for a Condor hammer weight. No way to tell the difference, the AF packaging was labeled incorrectly…
So now I have a tank with a Talon valve that isn’t even with in 200 fps in velocity with the same top hat settings as my other Talon valve… I can’t get the velocities to be close to equal at all.
No retailers know the difference and I don’t think AF even knows what is going on, it was their packaging that was wrong. Either that or the product was crap. So basically quality control at AF is crap no matter which way you slice it.
What good is a rifle that can be interchanged if the interchangeable parts don’t work like they are supposed to or are sold as something they are not?
So basically you could have a Talon tank that was mislabeled as a Condor tank with the Talon valve and the Talon valve spring. Or you could have any combination of the different types of valves and springs… Who the fuck knows when AF doesn’t even make it clear.
The top hat is what is opposite of the end of the barrel when you load a pellet into the rifle. If you stand the tank on end the silver part looks kind of like a tophat… 😉
