Hill pump question

If I buy a Hill pump, is there anything else I would need to fill Airforce bottles? Fittings, adapters, yada yada?

Great…. Thanks fatman608

Yes — you will need an adapter to fit from the AF Refill Adapter to the Hill Pump Hose or your second option is two get an adapter that will fit the Hill Pump Housing to the AF Refill Adapter.

I can not tell you the fitting size or thread size because I do not know it. I think it as to do with changing from Standard to Metric sizes. The Hill Pump is made in England and the AF Refill Adapter is made in the U.S..

Who ever you order the pump from can tell you what you need. I got mine from Straight Shooters and they told me that I would need this adapter for the Hill Pump hose to work on the AF Refill Adapter. So, I bought it and it works fine.

Thanks fatman608…Would that be the 1/4″ BSPP to 1/8″BSPP fitting?…I have the refill adapter that fits on the AF pump….I will need an adapter to go from the refill adapter to the Hill hose right? Or does the refill adapter match the hose fitting on the Hill pump?

You will need a AF Refill Adapter and you will also need a fitting to go from the end of the Hill Pump hose or the Hill Pump to fit on to the AF Refill Adapter.

Thanks for the info Martin….I already have 2 Airforce guns…They both came in today and the pump is still working but acting really funny…..I will have to just bite the bullet and look into getting foster fittings.

I have a hill pump and I called tim @ Mac1AirGuns to get the required adapters and to have him turn my exiting airforce fill adapter into one with a foster quick connect on it. This is the best way to go IMHO, because you can get foster adapters to fill pretty much any airgun and then use either tank or pump with the same adapters……and face it most of us will end up with more than one PCP before we die. I have 2 now and plan to get altest 3 more……not all airforce.

Thanks for the info…That’s is exactly what I needed to know….My airforce pump is acting up and I am waiting for it to fail….
Thanks again
Jeff
