Hill pump… What’s needed?
Alright I’m new here and am trying to put together a purchase for an SS.
I see that AoA has the hill for 289. And talon tunes has it for 350 with the adapter. I don’t know what adapter I need. Assuming just the af fill adapter.
Is the talontune price with everthing included the best deal or would I be better off getting it somewhere else?

Welcome to the madness :tag: You will be much happier with a tank. Buy one that can be charged to 3500-4500psi. 3000 just isn’t enough.

Your dive shop should have a bank of cascaded 5000psi tanks… so 3500psi should be no problem. Chat with them before you buy as they may fill 4500psi SCBA and carbon fiber for a slightly higher fee. The dive community is very welcoming and AG users are just as welcome – my local enjoys the break from diving stories. They run a pair of very expensive 5000psi diesel compressors.

Yeah, one fill a day, with a 3500psi 100cuft Steel SCUBA will get you 20-40 fills @2700psi depending on your end pressure. Of course, plinking you can run lighter pellets and pressures for shorter distances, see the second diagram. I invested in a second AF tank for plinking vs hunting. Not cheap – but I’m glad I did, especially when I go to the field.
I hope you find a shop within a reasonable distance of home. Another option is the shoebox compressor hooked straight to your AF tank.

Thanks for the responses I will check into the scuba shop. I live in the desert so I’m not counting on there being a scuba shop near. How many fills do u get from a tank?
I just figure I only shoot maybe 20-40 rounds a day when I shoot so the hand pump would usually be done once every time I shoot…

Not normally. Its an add on.
caracer22, if you live less than an hour from a SCUBA shop then consider a 100cuft Steel tank. For only a little more money you have the easiest fill option around. And they can top up from 2500psi to 3500psi while you wait. I’ve done it at my local shop several times now.

I have a nearly new Hills pump and AF adaptor for 200 + about 20 shipping(from UK) if you are interested…
Straight Shooters has it for the $289.00 also and $22.95 for the adapter. If you ask they’ll hook it up.
