Also a week ago I changed the Value check O-ring on my MK3 from the factory A90 to a 006 V75 Viton and the pump became easier to pump on the down stroke !

It might not last as long because it’s softer but it’s pretty easy to change if it goes bad.

This is the one I use to replace the Main pressure O-ring, the Green one.

Thats all i have to fill mine with is a hill pump. From 1500-2700 would probably take about 2 or 3 sets of 100 pumps. I usually hit 100 then stop for a minute. I work it into my work outs some times. Seriously. Its not too bad under normal shooting scenarios but when your doing alot of testing to find the perfect settings it can get old.

Hi,

I have a Hill pump and is is slighly lighter to pump than the benjamin (and airforce).
But as bogman mentioned it is a matter of patience and planning.

When i used to shoot the murader a lot more for plinking I would shoot 2 mags (20 shots) and then refill. This way I would be really topping off and the refill process would pretty much be a couple of minutes (litterally)

With my airforce I use a micrometer tank which starts at 3000PSI but I can shoot 300+ shots all the way down to 1500psi. So I don’t refill right away, and the pumping process takes a lot longer. So what I do is to pump the tank back up to 3000psi while watching a TV show. Pump 5 min, lot it cool, pump, cool etc. So by the time the show is over I am rested and the tank is full 🙂

If you use high power guns where you get 5-10 shots max per refill, the pump is really not the bst choice cause you endup shooting less frequently and haveing to pump all the time.

So it all depepnds on the power level you require from your rile. That will turn into how often and how buff you will become pumping 🙂

Cheers
Chris

“Easy” depends on your weight and fitness. If you’re under 150 lbs, it may be harder to accomplish, since you basically bend at the knees and use your weight to compress the air. For me, it was pretty easy as long as you pace yourself and stop after about five minutes to let the pump cool off. If you’re in a hurry, you’re hosed, because it’ll take 2-4, five minute sessions to top off the tank. You’ll ruin the pump if you overheat it. It usually takes 10-15 minutes for the pump to cool off.

I still used one for all my guns, but the big air tanks Dyotat uses for the larger rifles takes a lot more effort/time.

If you go the Hill route, refill the rifle tank after you’re done shooting, so it’s ready next time. Your groups may not be as good if you go right from giving your arms a minor workout to shooting.
