Q:

Hog, maybe soon :)

The hogs have finally come back, I found some tracks today. I put out a bucket full of some very old mash (needed to get rid of it anyway, can’t remember how old it is Lol).
I’m waiting on neilson’s .25 44g slugs to come in, see how well they shoot in my modified condor, find a shooting lane and go from there. Maybe in a few weeks I’ll have it all together and get a good video.
If the 44g don’t do as well as I need them to I’ll go back to the JSB 34g and use those. I’ll post the groupings if they do well in the other forum, in another week or so.
It’ll be my first time to shoot a hog so this could be quite interesting, I’ll be using the raptor razor knife set to gutless skin it, that could wind up being a humorous video

Lol, now that’s a setup :8:
If mine comes to fruition I’ll see the green light come on and be able to go out and shoot (unless I’m working the next day), I’ll be set up for about a 65 yd shot.

Damn, the slugs came in but they don’t fit :suprisedn: thought I had a lead cut in, I guess not, gotta find out what to do next.

Whew, update…. The last 1/16″ wouldn’t go in, Nick said they’d still shoot. They did 😛 , so now in a week when I get off I’ll see how they do.

My Yote pile is 300 yards behind the house. I have a solar powered flood light, my camera and a wireless doorbell over looking my gut pile. When I hear, ding dong you got company, I race to my shooting window grabbing my Remington 40X in 22.250. Such a life……………. :biggrinn:

Yeah, I’m very excited to get this going, finally. I’ve been wanting to do this for quite some time but haven’t gotten the hogs to come here since I scared them off a couple of years ago. I guess the new ones don’t remember. I’m really hoping to go out and see the mash bucket tore to pieces and lots of ruts. Once I see more proof that they’re here I’ll find a tree and set up my green light and try to keep baiting them in. I’ve got a small corn feeder but I lost the tree I’d previously used so I’ve got to get another place going, plus mow down a lane to see and shoot down.
No coyotes nearby so I’ll have to settle for a hog :biggrinn: It’s been a running joke at work for a while about if I’ve ever gotten that hog with my BB gun Lol :biggrinn:

Can’t wait to see the videos. I almost shot a coyote at 50 yards last winter with my .22 Vulcan, but when I was opening up the window he took off. :4:
