Hole size for shroud
Has anyone determined if the hole size in the baffles and the muzzle on a shroud makes any difference assuming maybe .250 being the smallest just curious if anyone has tryed different sizes if not it really would be easier to enlarge it no worries of clipping.

Mine is alittle small and gives me crooked head, 😯 .
Thanks I was just curious on what you guys were drilling them to and wondered if it mattered apparently the more you open it the louder it can get thanks Eddie
The the shroud that I made I used 0.30″ diameter holes for .22cal. I figured I could go up to .25 with it. Its still as qiet as it gets with .22 (unless I accidentally load some <15 grain pellets 🙂 )

The hole should be as small as you can get away with. My ldc hole was only just bigger than the pellet, and it was really,really quiet. Unfortunately it was clipping so I had the hole made bigger. Cured the clipping but the noise level went up a bit….

Dammit @!#$% i hate it when that happens. ???LOL.
I don’t have a lathe so i had to come up with a way to make the bushings for the barrel ,so the shroud toob could ride on the bushings ,they are not perfect so my center hole is off a little,
i adjusted the center by welding my washers off center.to put 1 piece cleaning rod down bore and center exactly.
I had a bigger hole a first them added a smaller washer, it seemed to make it quieter.
I need to find a machine shop to make me a bushing that would slide in the frame, then i could slide my shroud toob over the bushing and use the framespace to use up some of the air discharge,
That might make it even quieter, what do you think
