Q:

Holy shi t

Hoot was 100 % right, This gun is the shi ts.
If your even on the edge on a 25 Bull pup , Your a dumb as s if you do not buy this gun..
Donny’s fat boy fit perfect, He is a true artist with the mill.
The Athlon argos 6-24-50 scope is way cool,
The gun, This is no shi t I am stacking JSB 25 gr pellets at 38 yards
I spent all day long setting this gun up and quality leaks every where with this gun.
I needed a 9 volt battery to do any chrono testing and I dam sure was not going to put every thing up and run to the store.
Tony sent me a slip showing me its right on the edge of 900FPS with 18 gr pellets,
The damage it did to two sparrows and one Euro dove was devastating ,
I think the 25 shorty Veteran Mutant with its POWER and its shot count is in a class of its own.
Now If I could just figure out how to post pictures , as photo bucket as pretty well crashed.

Dear Rudy…

Please don’t mess with iride…he ain’t been right since he dropped his ’65 Fatboy, landed on his head in a cactus plant, and right off got bit on both nuts by a rattlesnake.

You talk about having ‘balls’…his were the size of watermelons! Poor ol’ sumbitch…the only way he can have sex now is to tape it to a popcicle stick!

He had a bad scare last year. His favorite ewe was giving birth one night, and iride noticed the calf was coming out feet first, not a big problem except they were human feet!!! He shot the damn thing right there, right then, and buried it plenty deep.

Said he didn’t remember anything til later that morning when he woke up with his head stuck inside the little ‘kid-hole’, back in the outhouse. Said he like to never pried himself loose! Claims he hasn’t had a mixed drink of peyote squeezin’s and Lucas 2-stroke motor oil since!!!

Just saying is all….just saying….you don’t have to believe it…but then you don’t know Mike very well!!!

Hoot:

You two,

Here you are messin’ around like this, when some of us don’t even have one of these rifles yet of any size or caliber, and you guys have yet to post a darn pic one!!!

Whats with that? Not to forget any thing else like pics of some accuracy pics.

Now with the recent storms, I understand and get it. What sort of tree was this 60 footer anyway Mikey, pine or maybe a cottonwood? Not that many get that big out here in the desert of West Texas.

Heck I feel more excited about seeing some pics of you and the Hoot’s rifles than the prospect of getting me a Long πŸ™‚

You know I did pm Dman to check if he had anything to share, not a response back yet πŸ™ So no news, no pics and you two just messin’ around here Geee, come on you two!

Hoot ,
Hell yea, That’s how my 60′ tree fell, I Missed the hail and hit the base of the tree with a 25 shorty pellet, Fell Like a stone..
Talk about a powerful gun, So that makes mine better than yours ,   Case closed I win.
Mike

Dear iride…

MY Shorty is better than your Shorty!

We had a hail storm here too. None of the 1″ ice balls made it to my roof. I was shooting them as fast as they fell.

This is the internet, as in TV, if it’s not true it cannot not be posted…that’s a known historical fact!

Regards,

Kindly ‘Ol Uncle Hoot:

Bad storms here in the after noon have not been able to shoot at all,
Golf ball size hail the last two days, Tore the roof off my old barn and downed a 60 foot tree in my yard,
Chan saw on order,
Greg I need a set up like you got for the chrony, Looks clean and neat…
Mike

We all told you Mike……
watch they will not be able too keep the new shorty 25. in stock. :suprisedn:

Not many in the country glad you got her, post some pix soon. :biggrinn:

The little puppy, is amazing.

Chrony’s red LED are great, it’s all in the alignment to prevent a false read. Marked out my bench such that I can place all my guns in the same repeatable alignment to the crony setup. With this setup I don’t need to aim, I shoot/crony side ways.

I place a new piece of tape on the pellet trap holes so I can visually see if the gun is moving off it’s course.
It’s very rare for me to get a false read ………

I also placed a small piece of 2×4 in front of the sensor to help prevent that kill shot …… and always ware a full face shield when doing crony work !

Just my :2cents: worth.

~ Greg

Mike,

I am so glad to read all this above, about the new shorty… Its amazing all that from a 14″ barrel on an air rifle to me and still have shot count… I look forward to all the details and pics.

I never have much luck with Photobucket myself… Find you a new host site. I have been using Shutterfly for years now. Might give them a shot πŸ™‚

Above all, just have a big time. I would have been like you on the battery πŸ™‚ it can wait! Speaking of all that equipment, I need to get all my chrony stuff out. I always had trouble with the light and getting false reads when shooting a nice long string while working on shot count. Really irritated me to lose even one.

I ended up getting a up graded setup from Chrony and option for their LED light bars. I have been known to launch a 21.1 gr. Kodiacs @ 1050fps and not just wing the chrony, but drill it, not good; don’t do that Mike it really hurts your feelers πŸ™‚

I now use the remote readout and have this nice thick piece of steel bar stock in front of my beta chrony, this way when I drop down on the target dots and forget about the beta, I just smack the steel plate and reflect the round to the ground πŸ™‚ and thats a good thing.

I am sure you know about all this, but wanted to remind you while you are so blinded by all the awesomeness of the Veteran you just got, make sure not to drill the chrony with the new battery when you make it to town…

Gee that’s about time Mike and good to hear you finally got it, a real shooter for sure …….. congrats ! :8:

There is noting worst for an Air Gunner in having to wait for a new gun to come ………

~ Greg

I figured we wouldn’t hear from you ’till late. Glad you love it. With my standard I am able to hit birds at 115 yards out with 6-10mph wind way high up in a tree. I’m sure I’ll be taking it out further when I get the chance. That trigger makes it possible. It’s crazy how much the wind can push around my 25.39 or whatever grain pellets. I’ll be upping the power someday and using JSB heavies instead. But for now, I’m happy with it the way it is.

Right now my biggest problem is guesstimating wind upwards of 100’+ high. Wind varies quite a bit here in the desert. My anemometer jumps around at ground level so God only knows what’s happening way up high. But like I said, I’m hitting the birds when I guess the wind correctly.
