Q:

Home made butt pad extension

After being cooped up in the house for the last couple of weeks (Christmas Break) with nothing to do, I got a wild hair and decided to try my hand at making a better butt pad for my SS. I was inspired by WOK’s work, and knew I wanted something similar. So, after a trip to the hardware store to spend about $16 in parts, here is what I got:

Now I know it’s not adjustable or anything, but it fits me like a glove. Not bad, if I do say so myself. What do you think?
Thanks,
Chris

Speaking of muses, use the pic of this chickie, (and those curves and bumps) to design the NEW Wokbutt. Look at those curves and bumps and proportions, that’d work perfectly.

The wings would be the shoulder plate, her hands would be holding the screw mount where it fits into the tank. Her legs, well…. they seem to be angled at about the correct position to catch an armpit, but you’re the machinist, you figure that part out…. 😆

C’mon, Wok, I dare ya…. you could do it! (Not sure I’d buy one, but damned sure someone would…) 😆 😉

The stock one leaves a ton to be desired for sure…

I suppose I might be able to, if the urge struck me. However, that would probably then involve drilling new holes in the factory pad. It is also possible that the rubber pad might pull away from the metal part if you bent it. Not sure, though.
Chris

Nice.

One thought came to mind….
Could you move the stock pad up a bit and put a bend in the upper part so it could fold over your shoulder a tad? Not sure that piece would hold up to being bent.
