Q:

Homebuild bullpup "Edsan"

I do like the Edgun design but I don’t like the price….(here in Holland it’s is even worse. A matador will cost here around $ 2300,-)
So I deceided to do a winterproject (keeps me of the street )
I bought myself a Hatsan AT44-10 and wanted to convert it into a bullpup.
A friend of mine is a milling and lathe wizzard and I like the woodwork
The name is clear….Hatsan & Edgun = Edsan 😀
I wish I never started it…..but finaly we finised it and want to share some pic’s with you guy’s. From start till today…

Hi Huub, Very nice!! 😎 could you please send me any info about the trigger
I want to convert my BSA TechStar to a bullpup 💡 , but not sure about trigger linkage.

Thanks, Bob

The inletting is done on a manual mill. It was done with a 22mm ball mill. I used a kind of radius compensation. The channel is 30,5mm IIRC. The ball mill and channel differ 8,5mm. So the centre of the ball has to follow a contour with a radius of 4.25mm. Using simple goniometrics you can calculate the Y and Z coordinates.

Cheers,

Marc

@ huub:

Stock design is imperativ for shooting comfort and also for “sexiness” of the gun. There is a reason why GinB has a market…. 😉

For me I think functionality is always “beautiful”. In guns at least (not that much in women)……. 😳

Balance and weight is also important (also in woman btw.)…..

Ideally I would like a HW100 K bullpup with the HW type charging mechanism on the left hand side and forward of the trigger where your hand is suppporting the gun. All packed into a beautiful walnut stock designed by a true artist……

And a light weight synth stock for outdoor shooting on the side….

Total weight not more than 3 kgs….

I am allowewd to dream, am I not ? After all its Christmas….. 😀

HW100 is great for it!!
Never ever use Hatsan, There is no space between barrel and tube and it’s a hell of a job making an excentric silencer.
I have also a friend of mine who can make “everything” hahaha and also likes to do some special projects. Design and woodwork is more my thing.

some more pics

Hi Huub:

Simply one of the most impressive conversions I’ve seen……… 😀

I am trying to figure out a way to do something similar, – based on a HW100 K action (the best action I know) with an Ultra barrel (Originally Ex Egon, – I have several of his projects in my gun cabinet). Unfortunately I haven’t got a lathe nor any CNC machinery. Also I don’t have the skills ( 😳 ), – but I know somebody who has…….. 😉

Cheers……

Hi Terry

The inletting is made on the mill by a friend of mine.

I am interested in what method you used to cut the channel in the stock to hold the Air tube? Was it a router, what bit?
Thanks, Terry

Very nice mod, 1 of the best I have seen so far. great job bud.

Tried some shooting with it yesterday. After zeroing the scope shot some groups @50 meters, pic is from 5 shots compared to a 1 eurocent coin.

Very nice! People on this forum always amaze me with their talents.

Nice job man!!!

How does it shoot??
