How do they do that ?

I have a new .25 barrel (24″)

After seeing the compact 25 I really think that a 14-15″ barrel would be the nuts.

My Question is:

If the 24″ could be modified does anyone know how.

Is the breach end reworked or is it the business end that gets cut?

As you can see I know nothing about barrel work but I just might find out.

I thought that I remembered choke being mentioned but confirmation at least sets my mind a rest.

The muzzle end has a choke, so even though its more work people remove the material from the breech end to keep the choke.
