How effective is a 22 LR suppressor on a Talon or condor?
Does anyone here have experience using a 22 LR firearm suppressor on a PCP like a Talon or Condor. If so – can you post your experience. How effective was it? Which suppressor did you use?
Does anyone know the approx pressure of the air in the barrel as the pellet exits the muzzle? Do we know if the valve is closed by this point? I know the tank pressure drops to about 2200 or so before I refill so that would be the max that could be in the barrel if the valve is still open as the pellet exits the muzzle. That said, I am guessing the valve closes much earlier and that the pressure is no more than 400 – 500 psi.

I agree 100%, and having done it all, paper work included, where I live and manufactured it myself believe me when I say, you need to move.
If I had to live on the east coast, not including the south, I would cut my own throat while standing and smile while it filled my boots.

RC – the designs I am looking at are the liberty essence and the silencerco sparrow. Both have comparable performance on 22 rifles. They are both designed with monlithic baffles. The essence baffles look like angular scroll work, the sparrow baffles looks closer to a bumpy K. The essence is titanium so its much lighter, the sparrow is shorter. I think lighter is better. The details are facinating. The liberty guys told me that they are using a square shape hole for projectile passagee – not round. Says it helps improve performance.
The device is going to be my birthday present to myself. And yes – it did occur to me that being legal wont hurt, but only if it works. on the flip side the process is a massive and expensive pain in the *** and might draw unwelcome attention.
Comparing the price of these devices to the TT shrouds and you realize that TT’s are a bargain. And the red tape and paper chase. god. I get to be fingerprinted again. This will be the fourth time, or maybe fifth. Like the fingerprints they took for the fbi check required for my permit were not good enough. Oh, and they ask interpol if they have a warrant out on me, which might flag me in their computers if I ever travel to europe and I get to beg the police chief for his permission, again. (Some chiefs simply refuse to sign which will force you into an even more costly work around.) Delays at every step. it might be fall before I get it. At least CT allows me to own one. some states (ex: CA and MI) dont.
Check you state laws. Pay your $200 tax and get your forms filled out. Then report back and let us know how it went

Pay your tax, have some background checks, then buy a legal silencer. Finally, get a machinist to make an adapter for your AF gun and you’re done. Most states are open to you doing that.

You have to consider that firearm suppressors are made to quiet down different forces and what we experience on our air guns.
Our LDC’s work because it slows down and cushions a blast of air that is usually very close to the air temperture it meets when it leaves the device, whereas the firearms suppressor is quieting the report by cooling the gases prior to exiting and at the same time cushing the blast of air.
They can in a lot of cases be used interchangebly in my opinion, but it all depends on the design and construction, if they are the usual baffle spacer design and especially if augmented by screeened donuts in the baffle chambers and designed for a 22 rimfire, they should work fine.
The most value in my opinion is that if you go with the class 3 device, you have one that can be interchanged to a 22 and at the same time rule out all current and future controversy over legality.

At least in TX… if you are legally allowed to shoot a PB then a silencer simply doesn’t matter. Your neighbors don’t care. Get a 22 and everyone will be happy. It’s not that loud.
What we should really be discussing is why AF doesn’t make a frame that adds 6-8″ on a 24″ barrel. Offer a Talon, Talon SS, and Talon Condor frame size with the latter giving you some air stripper (6-8″). In my mind – one of those would get my $$$.
