Q:

How far the valve stem goes into the delrin ?

Does anyone know how far the valve stem goes into the delrin on a Hi Flow? I’m wondering is there is enough extra delrin at the bottom to cut grooves like a Direct Flow Valve ?

The hole in the delrin is .289 and the overal length is .510, but the distance to the shoulder is .400, which leaves just barely enough to get inside the spring if it were a 1/16 bit. Not worth the effort.

Time to screw in an R&L Extreme valve and enjoy.

If you have the capability to cut grooves, you have the capability to make your own seal.

Its just plastic.

From what I saw in pictures, it penetrates the seal about a quarter-inch. Theres a photo of the extreme valve here somewhere. I believe it showed the seal removed and its the same part.

hah – I like to know if it’s worth it before I break something.

Take yours apart and look.
