How interested would you guys be in an in-tank regulator?
Hi guys, I while ago I bought all of the materials for an in-tank regulator but never did that much work to get it going.
One problem is that if you fill through the regulator chamber, you would have the pre-chamber full with 3000 psi so it would take a few shots to get it back regulating. Would you guys be interested in an in-tank regulator if a few shots would have to be taken before it starts to regulate?
I’m thinking of ideas about how to get a fill into the bottle without going through the pre-chamber, however it isn’t looking like there is much room to get a passage way down the side of the valve.
Let me know your thoughts on the subject.

Would there be interest in a regulator that has a vented spring stack won’t lengthen the butt and can handle upto 50ft.lbs.
Marc brings up a valid point about not being able to vent the spring stack to atmosphere, however I know of a few people who have regulators in their AA S410 and haven’t vented their spring stack.
Could just be that the user has to drain the tank, remove the valve, unscrew the reg and then put it all back together once a month.

First things first: Sorry for thread-jacking, Dave!
I’m in early prototyping but things are looking pretty good. I managed to fit a locking bolt and mag mech into the 39mm space where the breech used to go.
Had to rework the valve setup completely, but it will still be a bolt-on mod, gladly.
This pic is about 5-6 versions ago. She’s locking and loading quite nicely by now. I’m working on the non-reciprocating cocking handle and bolt hold open mechanisms. I freaking love this stuff.

Getting 3000psi in the secondary chamber isn’t the biggest problem. Venting the reg spring chamber with atmospheric pressure is.

Dave, any chance of an adjustable in tank regulator…And/or an adjustable prechamber that would increase in volume with increased PSI ❓
what about the spin loc tanks would that get the air in without affecting the reg????
Yes I do know about the AF mob knocking on the door, hopefully being across the pond I will slip under the radar.
So having to take a few shots to get into the regulator isn’t a great issue, but obviously would be better not to fill through the reg.
