Q:

How many Pumps To Fill Vulcan? Leaking??

Well –

How many Pumps To Fill Vulcan? Leaking??

I got a HP Pump and pumped about 200 times and dial is still showing barely above 0

something is wrong?

When I pump and hold the quick fill up in my hand to test air flow -just of bit of air is coming out
Certainly not what I would call a high pressure flow of air – is this normal?

quote DoktorKAR:

Cock the gun before and leave it cocked while pumping. The hammer tension might be keeping the valve open because there is no air pressure compensating from the regulator plenum side. If u feel air is going out of the barrel while u pump, this would confirm the above.

Get a scba tank anyway… 🙂

Sent on the go from my pocket.

WOohoo that was it 🙂

cocked it and air is filling now

Thanks

Most likely is a slightly loose bleed valve. When hand pumping, even tiniest leak stops progress. Check that your pump’s bleed valve is fully shut.
