How many shots are you getting?
Gentleman ;
How many shots are you getting for a 1000 psi drop?
Seems like the extra heavy kodiak should be giving me more
Than 10 to 12 shots on power #4
Or will it improve with break -in?
(My first pcp) so I’m unsure
Thoughts?

Yes,
Baracuda 31.02 I believe were around 866 fps and accuracy was not as good as the kings but plenty good enough to hunt with. They do put a hurt on raccoons! Now I will tell you that predators fly Great as well. The sound is unreal when it hits a squirrel! No really, its quite a signature sound! :8:
Have either of you shot the heavier kodiak match pellet or similar designs at 31 gr. and if you did what was the velocity with that type of tune?
I am shooting the 25.4 JSB’s. My power wheel is at 8-13.
this is with a new Condor SS .25.
When it came from the factory it was shooting hotter and I got less shots, however the top hat kept coming loose so I don’t know what the factory setting actually was. I just played with it a little bit and this is where I ended up. I do have an oring behind my tophat.

I have my 18″ condor with an Rl shroud set up exactly this same way and get extremely good results! It shoots Kings from a high of 916 to a low of 896 from a fill of 2750 to 2125 for 40 shots according to my last run in my data book. My PW is set at 6.1 and I set my DOPE for 907. I am very happy with the way this gun has turned out over they years! Believe it or not it’s a toss up between this one and my .22 Cricket on accuracy over 100 yards. Thanks TAG members for all the help!
As i was reading that post i was thinking man how do you get 40 shots with a top hat at .094 then i got to the oring part 😀 What do you have the pw set at? What pellet are you using? I posted mine at 24 shots with 31gr. kodiaks but thats also pushing them to 980 fps. Getting that kind of power with the .31 gr. pellet and still having 24 shots is good for me because i only hunt with this gun. Good to know that you can squeeze that many shots from a .25 with respectable power still.
If my memory serves me right this morning my tophat is set at .094 and I can get 40 shots with a 30 fps spread-890 to 920 or so. My fill is 2800 and ends at around 2100.

The gap on my .25 is right at .090. If it was mine i would drop it to .080 and then run it thru the chrony. Maybe some one with more experience will give some feed back.
.101 gap off to find a very small Allen wrech
Factory setting.
Trying to find
my gauge
I would think that a .22 would be close to double the shot count over a .25 and even if it did not shoot double i think it would be around 40 shots per fill. At any rate if you are getting less than 20 shots for 1k psi on pw 4 you are wasting allot of air from a .22 in my opinion. What is the top hat gap set at?
Sorry .22 cal
Ill have to seek out a chronograph soon it seems
My .25 with the 31gr. Kodiaks gives me 24 shots according to chrony numbers but in the field i might actually get more usable shots. I am on 5.8 on the pw.

My experience has been the same. The Kodiak are not as accurate as the jsb’s. In order of preference for my Condor SS .25
JSB 25.4
Benjamin 27 and Predators tied
Kodiak 31.1
I shot several groups with the Benjamin’s and Predators and I always had a somewhat scattered group–3 in one hole and 2 in another about a half inch apart. They both would work for hunting out to 50 yards but the jsb’s shoot better all around no matter the rang so that is what I’m sticking with.
He’s right about the sound of a .25 pellet hitting a squirrel. The loudest sound in the woods is when the pellets smacks its target!!!
