Q:

how much do you pay for HPA ???

i am getting an 88 cf carbon fiber 4500 psi tank and i called the local paintball shop and they told me it is a buck per 1000 psi
no matter tank size is this a good deal?
i mean even if it isnt for 5 buck to fill and 88 cf tank if i put the numbers in right i will get something like 30 condor fills with the tank

Turns out my new neighbor works with Dive n Surf 🙄 🙄 🙄
Free fills, pretty cool.
He was able to juice my 4500 CF tank up to 4100
Not bad, considering he takes it down and delivers as well
Shot a coon last week and I am going out for another tonight 😉 😉 😉 😉 😉 😉

SAW

FREE…..plus a doz doughnuts every so often

later

well as it turns out i was at work yesterday and we had a small NH3
leak and i am the Hazmat Leader so we had to suit up and as i was putting on my airtank and level A suit i was thinking damn out tanks are 2500 psi tanks
hmmm wonder who fills em
so i made the call and a guy on the other shift gets em filled at the firedept he is a cheif there also
he said he can do a 4500 psi cold fill on my tank for me for FREE it will take him 3 days to get it back to me each time
but at the fill psi on my condor i should get 33 fills outta the tank
🙂

Here in Cancun, i pay $25 Mexican pesos to fill my 88cf 3000psi scuba tank
(about US$ 1.80) 😉

You pay $1 ????

Id try to talk him down to around 85 cents, 😀

I pay 7 bucks a refill .

I lived in in Kingston for about a year , I cannot brag about the women there.

quote crowpopper:

i repeated that it was an 88 CF tank
and i need to find out if they use a foster fitting or what to fill it

the only scuba shot around wont fill carbon fiber
so it this place or the welding shop who i believe only fills to 3500

it is upstate ny
adirondacks 4 hrs north of the city
so any down there are out

They are probably “Assuming” 88 CI and NOT CU, I pay $4.99, highest quote was $15.00, The local FD just laugh at me as if i’m some bumkin when I ask if they fill air for the public. Make sure you state HP , some don’t listen and quote you a LP price.
Try finding a dive shop that will fill to 4500psi best to have your own
adapter check which is most compatible a DIN type valve or K-type valve.
Some also offer “Air cards” so you can pay a lumpsome up front for unlimited fills.

No place in my town. We have to drive 45 mins. to the scuba shop. Used to be $5.00 now it’s $6.00. No matter the size. They can fill to 4500Psi.

$2,200.00 plus electricity….

Go to a scuba place and sign a release and they will fill. The one in Poughkeepsie, New York is a fellow airgunner and will work with us. I pay $4.00 for a 3500 fill. I use a 100cf steel tank and have never had a problem with my guys.

I get jealous every time I see this topic come up. I pay $12 for the high pressure fill. A 3000lb would run me $7. Guy had a special where I could buy a prepaid card for $100 good for ANY 20 fills. So I have a good deal for a few more fills.

Like Adam said – there isn’t a PB shop anywhere near me that will fill my CF tank too much volume, take too long. I have to go to a scuba shop.

They probably have no idea you want to fill a breathing tank.

You will probably bring it in and they will not fill it.

They are only use to filling the small PB tanks and not breathing tanks the require a lot more air.

Be sure to clarify what you want fill and if they still will fill it then make sure you have an adapter they can use to fill your tank.

Crowpopper, where in upstate NY are you? I live near Kingston area and tried to find places to fill CF tank before I buy one. Closest one is in Pookeepsie.
Maybe the store you are talking about is also close to where I live?

i go to the firedept and get mine filled for free

Seems reasonable.
