Q:

How much energy is lost from Hammer Slap mod ?

Gaining that extra bit of high end energy is hard to achieve. I was wondering how much energy is lost when doing a Hammer Slap mod (o-ring imbedded in end of breech facing hammer ?
Is there another way to do the same metal noise reduction ?

Great, you could make a hammer to the exact specifications but without the hammer slap mod and give a definitive answer.

Made 144 fpe with air and 233 fpe with helium and have the o ring mod. If there is any I wouldn’t trade it for the noise that a heavy hammer and heavy spring will make.
