how much pressure should keep in tank?

I want to know how much pressure I should keep in the tank with regulator installed when I’m not shooting. under 2000psi?
what if I leave it 3000 psi air in the tank? Will it make the regulator life shorter? Thanks

I’m wondering what valve do you use to put .25 at 960 fps by 1800 psi reg.?

In the reg tank I keep around 3000. I think I’ve had that reg for at least 2 years. It is set at 1800 psi and shoots .25 JSB’s around 960-970 fps.
How long Has your reg been on the tank?
one of my reg was no good now. I found some shims has become flat. it’s a cheap one though.
maybe I just worry too much.

I keep 3000-3200 in all my tanks with no problems.
Thanks. I shoot from 3000 psi to 2000 psi about 4 times a week and I guess the regulator is being on tension 24 hours on 2000 psi. But I don’t want to release whole tank of air every time after shooting. Is there a shut off valve between tank and regulator to release pressure on reg?
The tank does not matter but if you are not shooting the gun for a long time I would suggest you purge the regulator at least this is what I use to do with a paintball marker. Not sure if the same applies to an air gun

I modify the etac-reg and put a large chamber on them. It is a ported condor valve but it is the large chamber that does it.
There isn’t enough air in the etac-reg so to compensate you have to bump up the pressure. I think it takes around a 2500 psi reg to get 960-970 normally.
I think I have equaled tank pressure. Basically if the tank had no reg and 1800 psi it would shoot the same.
