How my free co2 fill from P/A cost me $400 bucks..
The man said I would get 1000 shots from my co2 bottle that came with the gun..bullshit..less than 100 shots and the pellets are bouncing off of 2×4’s in my basement..its around 64 degrees in there..So I finally found someone who could fill the tank for me..Dick head sports about 50 miles from here.So I load the wife up and we take off..well we get there and I find out that I have forgotten my tank..well I pick out another one and then find out the SOB’S are out of co2….. 😡 Well my wife has by now picked out about $50 worth of crap so we get that, then we eat at red lobster and I drink a few too many sam adams and drop about $75 there..next is toys r us where I drop another $200 and of course you cant go anywhere without stopping at walmart for another $50..and the fuel was about $25..talk about a real pisser and just think I could have stayed at home and watched rasslin..

Great stuff, I’ve been on many similar “lost missions”.
But it’s true, you can get a lot more than 100 shots out of a 12 oz. CO2 tank, even with the power wheel cranked up to max. I wouldn’t say 1000, but easily 400 or so before the FPS noticeably drops off. I’ve recently come to learn the benefit of keeping them topped up. Having a full spare tank laying around is a must-have as well, because when the tank empties to a certain level, you’ll know immediately that maximum performance is lost, so you either have to make-do, or load your wife up again and head on down the road.
Take a look at the burst disk on your tank. See it? Well, it doesn’t tell you nuthin’…. But they can frequently develop slow leaks, even without overfilling or any other obvious trauma. About $4 for a new one at Walmart, and you can replace it in the space of about 45 seconds…. screw out the old, screw in the new.
Also make sure you’ve got a fresh O-ring on that tank. For me, every time I fill the tank it gets a brand-new O-ring with a dose of silicone. Cheap insurance.
Sounds like a hell of an active Sunday, nevertheless… at least you got to chow down and pound a few Sam Adams…. 😉

If you have a Lowes Home Improvement, closer than Dicks, they have a CO2 exchange program in the Power tool section, might save you some driving.
