Q:

How to achieve 300 bar with 200 bar

Good day gentlemen.

Have any of you try to increase the pressure of a tank (carbon fiber tank) pressurizing it at 200 bar, then, put in into the refrigerator (5 degrees celsius, not freezer) and then reinflate???

If anyone of you have tried, how much pressure have been increased?

Thank you.

OF COURSE, I HAVE NOT A 300 BAR COMPRESSOR

Thank you.

PSIA1 X KELVIN2 = PSIA2 X KELVIN1

2914.5 X 270 = PSIA2 X 290
786,915 / 290 = PSIA2
2713.5 psia
therefore 2699 psig

gabuin , I now see what you are trying to do . Tank with 200 bar of compress air put into a cool unit set at 5 degree celsius for a given time so the
compressed air inside of tank will cool down so that the air in your tank will basicly shrink down below 200 Bars so you can add more compressed air
and hopefuly get a 300 Bar fill . You still have one major problem , unless the new added air is also at 5 degree celsius the ambient temperture you
are putting into your tank will be alot warmer than the present air already in it , which if only least will cause condensation to form in tank .
However , since you are dealing with high pressure air the out-come could result quite badly .

gabuin , a high pressure tank is set at its max rate of air pressure only an idiot would try to increase the pressure rated for that tank . It could be a
stupid fatal mistake to try and increase the max pressure given for any tank . As an example why would anyone inflate the air pressure in their car
tires from a max rating of 36 psi to 72 psi ? Really are you that stupid ? If so , Stupid Is , Stupid Does . Stupidy kills .

Totally agree.
Human stupidity and the universe are….. of infinitum length.

Ok.
Lets see.
I HAVE A 300 BAR CARBON FIBER TANK. THREE HUNDRED BAR….4500 PSI….
I CAN ONLY INFLATE UP TO 200 BAR because I have a 200 bar compressor.

So, I ask again.
Do any of the members of the forum know or have tried or have any reasonable idea or table of the degree of drop of pressure if you put a 4500 fiber carbon tank inflated up to 200 bar. THEN YOU PUT IN IN A REFRIGARATOR AT 5 DEGREES CELSIUS.

P.D.:
Thank you Voltar
